In the middle of the plains of Alentejo, that extend as far as the eye can see, is located the city of Évora, World Heritage Site and a book of Portuguese art history.

Located close to the border with Spain, Elvas fought to maintain the independence of Portugal and its history.

By doing so, it became an example for all mankind. Today, the fortifications of Elvas are a World Heritage Site.
