With its typical Mediterranean characteristics, the food in Portugal is a guarded secret.

In the opinion of many renowned international chefs, the best fish in the world is caught by line and by traditional techniques in Portugal extensive coast. Simply taste some grilled fish or savour the excellent seafood.

Try some of our succulence and flavour meats from local breeds: beef, lamb or the black pig, all of them stamped from our Protected Denomination of Origin (DOP). For seasoning, we have another Mediterranean product, pure aromatic olive oil .Don´t forget the wonderful mountain cheeses: creamy, oily or dry goat and sheep cheeses. Taste one of the many convent desserts.

And have a coffee accompanied by a pastel de nata (custard tart), the icon of Portuguese cuisine, considered a truly heavenly sweet. To accompany all this, we have another secret: our excellent table wines. You always have a wine of great quality according to the region in which you are dining.
